Victoria Yates – Partner

Victoria has over 15 years’ offshore legal experience with significant expertise in the establishment, administration, financing, disposal and termination of a wide range of Jersey trust and corporate structures. She has particular expertise in commercial trusts and real estate investment vehicles, including JPUTs, having acted for several sovereign wealth funds, pension funds and private equity firms on their indirect investment in UK commercial real estate utilising Jersey entities.  She also advises major trust company clients and family offices on the establishment and administration of complex structures for high net worth individuals looking to create comprehensive estate plans, including family unit trusts and limited partnerships.

Victoria was recommended by Legal 500 in 2017 in the categories of corporate and commercial and banking and finance, and named as a leading individual for private client, trusts and tax. Victoria is a Committee member of the Jersey Association of Trust Companies and a full member of STEP. She regularly speaks at conferences and provides training to trust companies on a broad range of corporate and trust topics. She is also a member of the Trust Law working group.

Victoria graduated from Exeter University in 1998 with a first class degree in Law. She qualified as a Jersey solicitor in 2001 and was sworn in as an advocate of the Royal Court of Jersey in 2005.
